Training on First Aid for the First Responder was conducted for the youth volunteers of Delhi urban resilience project, SEEDS. It started with WHY First Aid and its impacts on life saving and promote recovery. The training imparted theoretical knowledge as well as hand on practices by using the manikins and other training kits. The participants also shared their real life experiences and their queries were discussed and clarified.

The participants found the training very meaningful, interactive, specific, informative and helped build their confident in providing First Aid.

  5. No. of participants: 50 (25 each in both the sessions)

  6. No. of participants certified as First Aid provider - 43

 

Feedback & Evaluation (Received 47 filled forms from participants)

  1. All participants are happy with the quality instruction.

  2. All participants are happy with the training facilities and equipments.

  3. 77% participants are strongly willing to recommend the course to others.

  4. Majority of the participants are strongly willing to take up advance course.

  5. Most of the participants are confident enough to apply the life saving skills.

 

Observation from EHA-DMMU team:

At-least 29 participants are potential for the Instructor course from this group. The participation level by the trainees were very good and very relevant queries and clarification were sought by the participants.Smt. Neema Bhagat, the Mayor of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) with her Councillor visited the training program and appreciated training the Community Youth Volunteers.

EHA would like to thank SEEDS for the partnership and organising the basic Life Saving skills training for the community Youth Volunteers. Thank you all the participants. Sharing your genuine feedback and suggestions transparently helped us in providing quality training.
